Steak Soup
Experience a great hearty soup that is full of protein and vegetables! The recipe will serve six servings and can easily be frozen if meal prepping is needed!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb. chopped steak or ground chuck
- 1/2 lb. oleo
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 gal. water
- Pepper to taste
- 1 c. diced carrots
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 (20 oz.) package of frozen mixed vegetables
- 1/2 can chopped tomatoes or 2 cans of tomato soup
- 4 Tbsp. beef bouillon granules
- 1 Tbsp. Accent (optional)
Make a roux of melted oleo and flour. Gradually add 2 cups water. Stir till smooth. Add other ingrediants, except meat. Brown meat, then add to preceding. Simmer and stir soup 1 1/2 hours. Can cook in crock pot on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours. Yield: Approximately 2 1/2 quarts
